At Assai Software Services, we provide a leading Enterprise Document Management (DMS) platform for industries like engineering, construction, oil & gas, renewable energy, mining, and utilities. Our platform ensures structured, secure, and instantly accessible information, helping organizations maintain data integrity, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance across an asset’s lifecycle.

How would you describe your role to someone unfamiliar with your industry?

As VP of Business Development for Assai in the Americas, I focus on expanding our presence by helping companies in engineering, construction, and asset-heavy industries transform how they manage complex documentation.

My role is about building relationships, understanding client challenges, and showing how Assai’s solutions improve efficiency, compliance, and data security. In short, I connect businesses with the tools they need to manage information seamlessly and drive digital transformation.

What is the story behind your business?

Assai was founded to solve a pressing challenge—helping companies gain control over engineering documentation and ensure data integrity across an asset’s lifecycle. Organizations needed a solution that offered structure, control, and compliance while seamlessly connecting information across projects and operations.

How large is your team, and what makes your company culture special?

Our U.S. growth is anchored in Houston, a major hub for oil & gas, renewable energy, and utilities. Expanding to Georgia was a strategic move—its dynamic business environment, strong industrial base, and access to top talent made it an ideal fit.

What we love most is the collaborative business culture, the innovation-driven mindset, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of industries.

What is your biggest business goal for the next year?

Our biggest goal is to expand beyond traditional sectors like oil & gas and construction, bringing our intelligent document management solutions to renewable energy, mining, and utilities.

By doing so, we aim to help more organizations achieve operational efficiency, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.

What’s the best advice you’ve received about working with American and Dutch partners?

The best advice I’ve received is to recognize and leverage cultural strengths—balancing the American drive for growth and innovation with the Dutch focus on precision, transparency, and efficiency.

Successful partnerships are built on understanding different approaches to communication, decision-making, and long-term strategy.

Outside of work, what are your passions?

Spending time with my family keeps me grounded and motivated. I’m also passionate about travel—it broadens my perspective and connects me with inspiring people.

Another passion of mine is golf. There’s nothing like the challenge and focus the game requires, plus it’s a great way to unwind and connect with others.
